Catherine Matthews, MD, FACOG

Dr. Matthews is Assistant Professor in the section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She was recently voted 'Best Doctors in America' in 2006.

Dr. Matthews bypassed the traditional pre-med route and obtained a BA in History from the University of Virginia. This strategy paid off as she graduated Valedictorian of her medical school class also from the University of Virginia. Upon completion of her residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, she has assumed Assistant Professor in the section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Not surprisingly she has numerous academic accolades and publications, but notably many teaching awards as well. She was recently voted "Best Doctors in America" in 2006.
