Faculty - Susanna Raley, MD, FACOG
Dr. Susanna Raley completed her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She continued her training in Tuscaloosa as part of the Rural Medical Scholars program and received her Masters in Human and Environmental Sciences. She went to medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She completed her residency training at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia where she was Administrative Chief Resident. After residency, she joined a private practice in Augusta, Georgia. She completed two years of practice before transitioning to a laborist.
Dr. Raley attributes her success thus far in medicine, not only to hard work but also to strong mentor relationships she developed along her medical school and residency journey. She believes preparation is key for your boards! She attended an ABC course in Charlotte for her general written boards. She did multiple ABC mock oral sessions for her oral boards and believes the "test like experience" gave her confidence on exam day.
