Ostropathic Board Exams"The other chief resident and I are recommending this course to our junior residents for preparation for the written osteopathic boards. The only issue is that we have a limited budget for our medical education conferences. Regardless of this, we both felt that it was WELL worth every penny. There are cheaper, more local courses, but our senior residents felt that they were a waste of time. I intend to come back before my oral boards in two years." -- RC, 2008 "I felt very much at peace after finishing the oral exam...even before I got my results." "Truth be known, I did pass...and with flying colors! "The core topics lecture really helped to cover what I needed to know." -- DW May 2010 Written BoardsThe AOBOG & ABOG written exams are similar in content and format. The lectures will point out the focus as it applies to the written exam. The syllabus has a handout of anticipated test topics for each lecture. Additionally, Dr. Das offers an optional evening session on written exam tips. She will give you a system to analyze your test taking skills to perhaps, for the first time in years, figure out where your pitfalls are. Finally, for those who have repetitive difficulty with the written exam format, ABC strongly encourages you to sign up for Education Analysis by Martin Jolley for an optional intense four hour evening session on test taking skills. Clinical BoardsThe AOBOG Clinical Boards are similar to the ABOG boards in their oral format. The course schedule has an asterisk by each of the ten core topics. An optional evening session walks through each core topic and the anticipated exam questions. Furthermore, an evening session is offered on mock oral exam tips. DO LuncheonDr. Das invites all the osteopathic candidates to join her for lunch. This is a great time for fellowship and networking. You can also ask her any questions pertaining to either the oral or written AOBOG board exams.
