Practice OB/GYN Board Exam

ABC and Jolley Test Prep have just released a written exam composed of 250 questions with an allotted time of 60 seconds per question plus an additional 10 minutes of “break time." Questions cover the fundamental concepts associated with the CREOG, ABOG or AOBOG exams. This one-time use test is intended to provide the test taker with not only their performance in specific content areas but also to help them identify relative strengths and weaknesses so they may adjust their study time accordingly.

ACOG has recently expanded their recommendations and released new guidelines in Committee Opinion No: 635: Prenatal and Perinatal Human Immunodeficiency Virus Testing.

Case List Construction Tip

Check your list, and check it twice. Don’t trust the computer on calculating the final numbers on your summary sheet. Hand tally to make sure it’s correct. Remember, for Obstetrics & Gynecology you need a minimum of 20 applied cases and exactly 40 total cases in Office Practice. For all three sections, you cannot apply more than two per category.

Risk of Endometrial Cancer Lowered by more than 50%

The British Journal of Cancer recently published a study on the long term effects of the mediterranean diet. According to Dr. Cristina Bosetti, lead author from the IRCCS-Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche in Italy, "our research shows the impact a healthy balanced diet could have on a woman's risk of developing womb cancer. If adhered to strictly the risk can be as low as 57%.
