MFM 2025 Oral Exam Candidates
As you approach the final stages of preparing your case list, it’s time to focus on completing it and formulating a comprehensive study plan. By now, you should be nearing completion of your case collection and working on finalizing the details. With two months remaining to add new cases, prioritizing completion at this stage will allow you to concentrate on identifying and collecting the specific cases needed to meet the requirements for each category.
For those who were unable to attend our November course, the MFM Review Course Recordings are now available. This includes over 20 hours of high-yield content, featuring key topics such as:
- Critical care
- Maternal medical complications
- Genetics
- Ultrasound
These recordings are presented in a structured case format, closely mirroring the style of the oral board exam, and are facilitated by expert faculty. This is an excellent resource to enhance your preparation and ensure you are well-equipped for success.
Looking ahead, our MFM Oral Exam Webinar kicks off this January! Led by Dr. Stephanie Martin and a team of experienced MFM faculty, this program offers high-yield, well-structured cases designed to simulate the exam format. Participants will benefit from comprehensive coverage of key topics, ensuring they are fully prepared for their test dates.
Tip:
Your goal should be to have a rough draft of the list done by early to mid-December so you can circulate your list to your mentors and peers for editing before it’s too late to find a new patient in case one of yours turns out to be a poor choice.
URPS 2025 Oral Exam Candidates
There is still time to register for our URPS Virtual Interactive Board Review Course, which will be held via Zoom from January 24th to January 26th. Early registration is highly recommended to ensure your materials are prepared and shipped promptly. Please note that a $150 administrative fee will apply to registrations submitted after December 22nd.
As you prepare for your exam, now is the time to focus on completing your case list. While you still have time to compile, it is advisable to start by creating a master list of surgical and non-surgical cases. If available, a helpful administrative liaison in your finance department can assist by generating a report with patient names and ICD-10 codes, providing an organized foundation for your case list. This diagnostic list can also help you quickly identify cases for your office categories.
Looking ahead, our URPS Oral Exam Webinar begins in February. This program features experienced URPS faculty guiding participants through high-yield, well-structured cases designed to mirror the exam format. Key topics will be covered comprehensively, ensuring thorough preparation for your test dates.
URPS Tip:
The case list isn’t due until February, but this is also a good time to ensure you are entering the data and checking to ensure you have patients that represent all the different categories you need to fill for the case list. If you find that you are missing some patient experience types, now is the time to find ways to get more clinical exposure so you can be sure to get those last rare conditions covered. Continue working on your case list entry and try to avoid procrastination.
