MFM 2025 Certifying Exam Candidates
Now is the time to concentrate on finalizing your case list and developing a study plan. By now, you should be nearly finished collecting cases and working on filling in the necessary details. Having as much of your list completed as possible will allow you to focus on selecting only the remaining cases needed to meet the requirements for each category. There is still time to add new patients as needed.
It’s also not too late to register for our Virtual MFM Interactive Board Review Course, taking place from November 8-10. This comprehensive course is designed to align closely with the exam content, covering critical care, maternal medical complications, genetics, and ultrasound through a structured case format similar to your oral board exam. Led by Dr. Stephanie Martin, MFM Course Director, and featuring renowned MFM experts, this program provides an in-depth review tailored to support your success.
Tip:
Your goal should be to have a rough draft of the list done by early to mid-December so you can circulate your list to your mentors and peers for editing before it’s too late to find a new patient in case one of yours turns out to be a poor choice.
URPS 2025 Certifying Exam Candidates
With your thesis now submitted, it’s time to turn your attention to compiling your case list. While there’s still time, it’s wise to start by gathering a master list of surgical and non-surgical cases. Suppose you have an administrative liaison in the finance department. In that case, they may be able to generate a report with patient names and ICD-10 codes, providing you with an organized foundation for building your case list. This list can also help you quickly identify cases for your office-based categories. To support your oral exam preparation, consider joining our Virtual Board Review Course from January 24-26. In just three days, you’ll gain access to high-yield lectures, group discussions on complex cases, and an in-depth review of statistics and study design as they relate to your thesis.
In addition, our URPS Oral Exam Webinar launches in February 2025. Guided by our experienced URPS faculty, this program provides high-yield, structured cases designed to cover all key topics, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the April exam dates.
URPS Tip:
The case list isn’t due until February 2025, but this is also a good time to ensure you are entering the data and checking to ensure you have patients that represent all the different categories you need to fill for the case list. If you find that you are missing some patient experience types, now is the time to find ways to get more clinical exposure so you can be sure to get those last rare conditions covered. Continue working on your case list entry and try to avoid procrastination.
