Amy Hurlburt, MS, MA, DO, FACOOG
Dr. Hurlburt took a circuitous route to OB/GYN. She graduated cum laude with a BS from Michigan State University in Psychology. She then went on to obtain her MS and then an MA in Behavioral Neurosciences. In the midst of her academics, she was an actress with the Screen Actors Guild! She realized that she could make more of a difference as a doctor, so she obtained her DO for Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She actually started in General Surgery on the track for Trauma Surgery, but the program was closed. So logically she completed an Internal Medicine Residency? Missing the OR, she then completed her OB/GYN residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. She’s double boarded in Internal Medicine and OB/GYN. Needless to say, she’s one of the few ABC faculty that can give any of the primary care and OB/GYN lectures.
