Faculty - Jonathan Hunt, MD, MBA
Major Jonathan Hunt is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a distinguished academic and military career. He earned his MD and MBA from Temple University, followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he served as both Education and Administrative Chief Resident. His commitment to advancing women's health is reflected in his numerous academic appointments, including faculty roles at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Uniformed Services University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is also an active contributor to the field through peer-reviewed research and educational publications.
In addition to his clinical and academic achievements, Dr. Hunt holds leadership roles within the military medical community, including his current positions as Assistant Program Director for the Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics Residency Program at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Medical Director at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. Various awards for clinical excellence, research, and teaching further distinguish his career. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hunt enjoys activities such as whitewater kayaking and tabletop role-playing games.
