Faculty - Stacy Young, MD

Stacy Young, MD, is a dedicated obstetrician-gynecologist and assistant clinical professor at the University of California, San Fransisco. With a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery, she completed her fellowship at the Center for Special Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery in Palo Alto. She holds an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Young is deeply involved in medical education, quality improvement, and patient care initiatives, serving as Co-Director of UCSF's OB Career Launch program and faculty scholar at the UCSF Kanbar Center for Simulation and Clinical Skills. 

Dr. Young’s research interests center on early pregnancy loss, postpartum hemorrhage, and sepsis management. She has presented at national and international conferences, contributing to the advancement of obstetric care through her work on clinical protocols and quality improvement projects. Recognized for her excellence in teaching and mentorship, she is committed to fostering a supportive learning environment for medical students and residents, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. Dr. Young is also involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, serving as a faculty mentor for UC Berkeley Undergraduate Research Program and ambassador for UC SF’s Equity Inclusion Structural Change committee.
